Tea or Coffee?

To drink or not to drink, that is the question.
I mean, we should all drink water. Duh. It's essential for life! But I have found people have some very strong opinions on what types of water to drink.
Basically, coffee and tea are just that - water. But it's water that has been boiled and pushed through a bed of either tea leaves or coffee beans, which results in two very different drinks.
Don't even get me started on the different coffee brew methods. Even tea can be complicated!
The biggest debate is which is better: tea or coffee?
Personal preference is, naturally, a major contributing factor. So what happens if we remove that human element of choice? What are we left with?
Science, perhaps?
I'm sure we've all seen the targeted adds trying to get us to break our coffee addictions and drink mushroom coffee or slim tea or whatever. Now I'm not saying those are products you shouldn't drink. But they do have a point.
A small one. But still a point.
Truthfully, the acidity level in coffee can hurt the digestive system. Different coffee brew methods can also have different levels of acidity, drip coffee being one of the highest, pour overs being one of the lowest. Then drinks like tea and mushroom coffee walk through the door and promise to not hurt out stomachs.
But what about our hearts?? For us confirmed coffee lovers, we don't want to give up our bean juice!
Oops. I just outted myself. I do like some teas though! I'm actively drinking tea while writing this blog post.
At the end of the day, drink the coffee. Drink the tea. Whichever one brings a spark of joy into your day!
